So the car went into Richard henreys for a full fluid change and to investigate the boost issue

All was looking well until I received this ....

So something has gone through there I think but no sign of anything in the cooler or engine, so I called my pals at JAP PERFORMANCE PARTS UK for a replacement and ended up with a super low mileage evo 8 turbo and an evo 9 recirculation valve. I got to fitting it straight away and it runs better than ever and feels so much more responsive than it ever did.

Also managed to turn my thumb into a vagina with a saw

I believe there was an issue with the turbo from purchase, so I called the garage and they have paid me for the turbo so itís cost me a little bit of blood and thatís it

Thanks for looking

Evo 6 gsr+

Cars in today at norton tuning solutions for a 3 port boost Selanoid a decat pipe fuel pump fitting and a remap, yesterday I repainted some stuff under the bonnet including the exhaust manifold cover and the power steering cover and the vents on the bonnet.

I visited Simon last week at norton for a check up and to inspect my rough idle issue Last and he found a few issues.

replaced my injector seals
Rebuilt my throttle body
New isle control valve
Replaced a few vac hoses

So today it should make some good power with the evo 8 turbo.

Evo 6 gsr+

So a few updates recently, got myself some yellow speed racing coilovers & fitted a new gauge on the steering column

I covered the wiring in some nice braid and made sure it looked neat as itís right in view, I also got myself a forge 008 recirculation valve and I can say itís night and day better than the evo 9 one it has replaced.

I then painted some more bits in the engine so if all matched and kept the freshness.

Coilovers are to be fitted next week with a full fast road alignment.

I'm enjoying the thread. Wonder what happened to the original turbo to turn it into such a mess! It's good that the original garage paid for the replacement

I have no idea buddy, I bought the hks intake second hand and completely minted it out, at first I thought something had gone though the turbo but I canít see that happening. The garage I got it from was amazing he has since asked if he can buy the car back now Iíve begun perfecting it

Evo 6 gsr+

So today I had my coilovers fitted at Richard Henry motorsports in Bradford and a full alignment and set up. Really happy with the results and the car has been totally transformed from the KYB new SR that I was originally running, and it also looks miles better now itís hugging the floor itís perfect

I then managed to source two Evo 6 RS fog blanks and fitted those along with some minor cosmetic work which included wire wooling my intercooler and various brackets and refurbing the bonnet latch which was looking very tired from behind the grill.

Also found a random japanese sweet rapper jammed behind the grill, itís still there after refitting the bumper

Enjoy

I remember when I had my alignment done properly for the first time, on new coilovers, such a great feeling

Yes mate it is an unreal feeling the car drives so much smoother and direct, in all honesty I wasnít expecting big things from the yellow speed but I stand corrected

I'm loving that sweet wrapper. Proper JDM.

I'm also in the market for some coilovers, but really struggling to chose which ones. I'd like to go for MeisterR GT1s again, but it's difficult to spend that much on one part when I've been trying to do everything on as tight a budget as I can. Interested in your review of Yellow Speed.

Did you use a machine to wire the intercooler etc, or was it a hand job? LOL.

Hand job as always mate

Wire brush & WD40 and abit of swearing and she came up a treat, wd40 on the latch also freed up the release catch an awful lot !!

Iíll do a review this week and post it up in the lancer chat, Iíve had multiple brands so I feel I have room to comment !

I do however know that Meister R are rebranded BC so keep that in mind, a lot of the parts will subsequently be shared amongst other brands as they all come from Taiwan or China. Then again arenít most things today?
