Fancy a run out in June?

Looking to have a run out one Saturday in June, have a possible choice of 2 different routes, as it stands I'm free most Saturdays in June.

One takes in some amazing roads in Teesdale then over to Tan Hill and the Buttertubs, Reeth and over The Stang, the other is more in North Yorkshire and over the North York Moors ending up in either Whitby or Scarborough for Fish and Chips?

Open to any suggestions?

Couple of routes here, both have some great roads in them. Start and end points are more of a suggestion, but arenít far away from Shell garages.

First route takes in the glorious roads around Brough and Tan Hill, grabbing some lunch and a brew at Tan Hill pub before heading over the buttertubs down towards Hawes then Leyburn and Reeth and then back over The Stang (old rallye route). There are some other alternative roads in the area we could explore as well.

Second option goes over as around the North York Moors and then onto Scarborough for Fish and Chips.

Iíve done both the above routes and theyíre both belters.

If you fancied a run you could come down via Alston in Middleton-In-Teesdale and meet up with us in Mickleton, or instead of going back to Scotch Corner from Barningham you could go back through Barnard Castle and take the Alston road home?

Looking like the first route is the one, anyone got any time preferences? I think we should aim to be at Tan Hill for around 12-1 ish (about 60 minutes from Scotch Corner depending on stops for pics etc) and then allow an hour for some bait we could be back at Barningham/Scotch Corner by 3-4 at latest.

There's an Esso garage at the start and end point at Scotch Corner, or a Shell garage just under a mile away from there as well. There's independent petrol stations at Mickleton, Hawes, Leyburn and Reeth although I doubt they'll sell the higher octane fuels. There's also a BP garage just north of Scotch Corner at Barton lorry park.

Plenty of options although a full tank at the start should see you round with some left over.

I'm liking the look of the top one Mike, nice one! Starting point near a Shell garage or at a Tesco with momentum. It's a bit of a drive up from Malton so I'd want to fill up again before we set out.

Think Esso do 97...…….

Mike - We need to be home by 5 so scotch corner by 3.45pm would be ideal for us.
Can start whatever time - say 9.30am from SC? Traffic gets heavy by late morning is all but that might be an early start for James...…….
