Out of interest what back box have people gone for, the longer one for it to be quieter or the shorter one?

I'm running a Russ fellows silent de-cat aswell? What were you using with the louder version?

I hate it when exhausts exit the rear bumper at an angle!

Why don't they hardly ever make them straight?

What's everyone's preference on burnt/polished and slashed/straight exhaust then? What have everyone gone for? Pics would be good!

Finally got around to doing some sound readings with the plain de-cat.

83dB at idle, 100dB at 5k and 80dB cruising at 70mph/ 2,500-3,000 rpm.

The silenced de-cat will go on tomorrow and I’ll do some more readings to give the comparison.

Finally made some time to fit the silenced de-cat.

Readings are now:
80dB at idle, 95dB at 5k and 77dB cruising at 70mph/ 2,500-3,000 rpm.

I also made a small plate to shift the exhaust across, I do have a new hanger but didn't have the patience to remove the exhaust and cut the hanger to weld in the new, longer one. Bracket seems to have done the job and really didn't take more than 40 mins to make with some mild steel and M8 nuts.
