Mine's evo ecu advice

Hi all,

My Evo V has currently got an induction kit, decat and HKS exhaust and the next stage is to get it remapped.

I have seen a Mine's Evo V ecu for sale and was wondering if someone could explain the benefits (if any) I would gain with opting for this over having the original ecu remapped.

Thanks a lot
Ed

Hi Ed.

I will shortly have the Apexi PFC and hand commander for sale which is currently on my V running 554 bhp. £300 would see it delivered to you.

Just thought I'd mention it.

A specific ECU Mines made for the Evo or just an original one mapped by them?
You get loads of Nissan 'Mines ECU' popping up on eBay, it's just a stock ECU they've remapped and slapped a sticker on.

Trouble is you've no idea what map is on there, could be for a bigger turbo, bigger injectors or anything.

554 might be a bit too much for what I'm after at the moment but thanks for letting me know

I think you misunderstand. The Apexi can be mapped to suit your car configuration, it will happily map on a standard car all the way through to highliy modified like mine, that's all.

It's a decent ecu for your application.

Simon.

You’re at a stage 1 remap, the stock ECU is fine once mapped. Plenty of tuners can sort that for you.
