I am thinking of booking a few days of relaxing driving holidays in Xmas, i.e. nice rural areas with comfy hotels & good food and great roads that are pleasant to drive with the Evo.
I have done the Alps in the past, so I am looking for France or Germany. Any ideas whether Normandy or Brittany in France are any good? Others that maybe have found little gems hidden in Germany?
You can go in Germany in the "black forest" area
at this period (Xmas), nurburgring will be closed but there is plenty of good roads.
There is too in "Vosges" and "Alsace" areas (in France) , which is the same mountains that the "black forest" in Germany
for xmas, you have a chance to have snow (on little roads) that is a good thing for skiing or for the views, but a poor thing for your car (salt on the roads)
(pics in "The Vosges" took with my first evo in february 2015 )
I agree on the salted roads. Nobody like them. And you should wash the car underneath asap after. But I have to say guys that if you haven't driven your Evo in the snow, you are missing out big time!
I’ve just done stelvio pass in bormio Italy and then headed back through Switzerland towards the Black Forest in Germany
Triberg is a nice place to stay and some great roads
