I have done this. I just put some clear 3M tape...

I wasn't referring to the aux belt pulley, i was referring to the cam belt pulley, all the tutorials say that needs to be removed. Either looks like there's a get around now so it can stay on, phew!

Every tutorial on the net says that bolt and pulley need to come off but from what Mark's just stated today the belt will slip off around the side of the sensor plate if i rotate the engine slightly....

I am considering making my own up, if I make it say 2 foot long and lock it against the ground it wouldn't go anywhere and stop the engine from rotating. :blush:

Not an issue Mark if it means I can lock the flywheel in place. I havenít removed the lower cover yet from the flywheel itself so may be able to get something locked in place there.
