AR1's are a better track day tyre than the AD08's...

AR1's are a better track day tyre than the AD08's BUT only in the dry. AD08 is a better wet tyre.

Sounds heavy for that sort of driving. I can expect around 200 miles a tank on a run driving off boost and that's with circa 450 bhp.

adamlstr makes a good point about tailpipe diameter. I reduced mine on a custom made system from 100mm to 75mm and the sound levels dropped by nearly 2db.

Short of stripping the engine (and that's not practical) there is no way of checking if the internals are what they claim to be. A bit suspect that there are no invoices for the parts used too.

Yes I've stuck to OE sizes 235/35 - 295/30. You can go up to 245 F and 305 R but I didn't really see the point.

You're also correct about Pilot Cups if you intend to use it in bad weather.
