The crank sensor is bolted to the block, I think it is more likely a spark plug/ Ignition
issue.

If it is rust free and paint in good conditiom, I think around 15 k. But as stated the market is bad.

Or cable connector issue ?
Else you can try using an other/older Ecuflash version.

The crank sensor is axial to the crank sensor blade, but even then the play must be big to fail.
But maybe the gap was set to the max. so 1 mm play could be enough.
