I imagine they would rub on track, as I get the occasional scrub on the road. But then, I'm lowered on Ohlins.

That's almost certainly down to the way it was geo'd rather than anything to do with wheel size.

Not sure on best tyre size for the 17’s though?

I’ve been looking into this as well but I like the wedssport tc105n now. 235/45/17 or 235/40/18 tyre size. I do want a big brake kit though so don’t know what to go for. Mine is a ix though.

I had 18's on my second Evo 5. Went back to 17's as I didn't like the feel of the car on the 18's (dunno why?).
Unless you've got a big brake kit then I don't see the point. Other than for the looks.
