How old are the 040's? They've been around a LONG time, and as they're pre-worns, you could be rolling on 10 year old tyres which will be dozy and dried out.

Been through more sets of HIDs than I care to mention, and the only ones I'd buy again are the MTEC ones. Cost nearly £200, but well worth it.

Your dealer sucks. :D I had two Accelera tyres put on an Astra in a hurry (needed for a last minute MOT appointment), and they were similar, hard to keep balanced, and made the car pull to the left....

Toyo T1R didn't work for **** on my Lancer, felt like driving on jelly. Truely horrible tyres, made the OE Yokohama A10A feel like a Michelin in comparison.

I call bull****. There is NO way in the world there's been 14 tyres on the car in 22500 miles. That's two tyres every 3000 miles. Unless the wheels are pointing towards each other.

Car ran 215-45-18 on 18x7 OE rims during the summer.
