Is this going to be expensive ? Ralliart Sportback ACD light keeps coming on.

Out with car today, last 5 miles of 25 mile journey and the ACD Service Required light comes up on the dash. Return home 3 hrs later and exactly the same, ACD warning light with 5 miles to go.
Reading some of the other threads it might be expensive but remember the car is the 2011 Ralliart Sportback so no AYC.
Is it a trip to the dealers to see what is stored in the ecu and take it from there or should my usual service garage be able to do this ?
Any advice/hints appreciated.
Cheers
Brian.

Do you have an OBDII reader to capture the fault codes first?

No, nothing at all.

Afterthought ! Will a code reader give more details or just "ACD fault" ?

I think you will find it will have AYC pump but it's slightly different to the X, look behind the drivers side rear wheel and you will find it.

it is the single solenoid ACD only pump... probably needs an overhaul...

An update and a request.
The car has been on the diagnostics at the local dealer and they confirm the pump is the issue. No electrical problems but it is only operating intermittently and so needs an overhaul. Local dealer can't do this, only supply a new pump.
The request bit.
Does anyone have a link to a pdf/diagram etc that shows the internal parts of the pump so that I have an idea of what will need doing. It will be done by a garage/repair place, NOT myself, but I always like to know just what is being done. Basic internals are much the same as the X I believe.

UPDATE. Is this going to be expensive ? Ralliart Sportback ACD light keeps coming on.

The pump has now been repaired.
In the end it was sent to Auto Torque who refurbished and refitted it to the car. Not cheap but nowhere near the 3100 that Mitsubishi wanted for a replacement.

Do you mind sharing the cost?

Let's just say it was under 1000 for the rebuild and refitting to the car.

Brian.
