Has anyone weighted either one of the two models, Evo 5 RS, or TME RS, in standard form?

I am curious what is the real world weight.

Curious because am wondering if they save useful amount of weight compared to newer Evo 9 RS for example, and how much.

Thanks,

Cheers

Thank you Steve.
That is quiet a bit lighter than later E7/8/9 I believe.

Your favorite Evo, or is there another you preferred?
You have and have had "more than one of each", you truly have a complete overview.

Figuring what is best for track-days?
TME, 5 RS, or E9 RS?

The ones I've weighed were thereabouts 1260 for 5 & 6RS and 100kg more for the GSR's. Pretty much as book...

Late models do have a better chassis and drivetrain but are heavier. The 9GT I ran in TA was stripped and caged with carbon etc but was 1280 ish.

Best for trackdays as std or modified? For me, a std later car is better on track but for all out mods, big power etc I'd prefer an early with the later drivetrain.

for me as a playing out car the later felt allot bigger ,the 456 felt allot more nimble but the ACD on the later car was a revelation to me as you could transform the handling at a press of a button

for me the later wins ,but i wouldnt get hung up on this RS thing a AYC rear end can be a very usefull tool out on track

Thank you.

I have the intention to retrofit ACD: test fitted into OEM TME Transfer-Case, fits, and requires 1-additional bolt-boss welded-on which Shep confirmed it not too challenging to realize.

I agree, both the ACD and AYC perform magic, a standard late E9 GT with ACD and AYC is superb drive, and if too much power than properly setup RS rear will do great.

Glad to know that proper RS E5 and E6 are properly light compared to other cars.
My TME RS2 LHD is 1395kg wet, on scales. Considering book says 1370kg, I do look forward to 1280kg lighter (Without AC, AYC) RS Version.

Cheers.

I thought all the RS2 were basically RS with 17" wheels and brembos, and therefore none RS2 come with AYC ?

Well, mine is a LHD RS2 and the only options it has are 17 wheels, Brembos and electric windows. I don´t have Ayc, Abs, Air Conditioning , Rear wiper , electrical aerial, abs.

My car document says 1280kg.

But I am waiting to weight it on proper scales.

RS2 generally had all that your Evo is missing Filipe:
AYC, ABS, Electric windows, power door locks. No rear wiper -that was GSR (JDM -UKDM, AUDM).
RS2 all had Brembo and 17" wheels to fit over, and I am pretty sure RS same: there were surely some "Gravel spec" RS Evo 6 sold, but they still had 17" wheels with small brakes behind.
