Hi - My IV is now due for a service and I am not happy about going to xtreme - where else is there within the midlands - I did ask this question a couple of months ago and only got one response for "Notts Variava" - any other suggestions - dont mind travelling within reason

I've used both of these, and would recommend either:

Hope this helps. :)

Iain at Notts Variava is your closest, however [email protected] is definately worth a bit of a drive over some great roads and is cheaper, so with the money saved you can buy a lovely fat pub lunch for yourself oh and some optimax for the car of course ;)

If you go make sure you go the good way via the Cat and Fiddle ;) Then again that may be out of your way, worth a detour on the way back mind

thanks for the help folks!

leonard - when was the M6 a great road ;) - just stuck it in multimap and it says straight up M6 - you'll have to tell me the scenic route lol :)

probably quicker than driving to dudley though- that takes me an hour!

I take my Tommi to All electric mitsi in Harborne, they're bang on, never had a problem with the work carried out & they really make an effort with you too! Oh & Sarah the bird on the service desk is a total babe :D

Their phone number is 0121 427 6201. Ask for Sarah & tell her i refered you & you should get a discount ;)

I live in Kingswinford and have to pass extreme on my way to work so I take mine to Castle Performance in Stoke.

Why if you pass them everyday, do you go to an unknown garage much further away??

I wouldn't take it to chris variava in leicester, took my 6 there for tyre wear problems, they couldn't find the problem and it came back with two 18" scratches across the back bumper! (they denied it!!)

xtreme found and sorted the problem straight away!

Chris variava in Notts is my current choice had 2 services there on my 8.

xtreme will be gettin the car for the next service (13500) now they are mitsi approved, too far for the 9000mile service but ok for 4500 which can be done while u wait on a saturday morning!

roger clark also very good.

I have been to Extreme and had a look around when I was considering which evo I wanted to buy.The garage was smart and well equipped, and must cost a fortune to run.
I am an enthisiast and when I take my car to the tuners I spend the day with it in the garage talking to Steve ,Mark and Eoin I am with them whilst they work on the car.and I see the care and attention to detail they have. They all drive these cars to work and treat yours like their own. After years of tuning they have a detailed understanding of how to set up the cars, and whilst their shop isnt very impressive ,I am confident that I pay for their skill rather than the upkeep and wages of people you dont see and a garage you dont go in.How many extreme mechanics go home in an Evo?
