in america this is quite popular, just wondering peoples thoughts.
i know each car is different ect, but if you give them a list of mods and they are familiar with your car im sure they could give you a basic improvement remap... via email...

which also makes me think, anyone got a ecuflash remap/upgrade for the fq300 93660005 .... can you send it me? thanks

Quite a lot of vauxhall and ford tuners do this, Dream science etc...
via handheld sets to the OBD port. Upload the map from the tinternet then download to the car.

Flash maps can provide an improvement, but there is nothing like actually like going out in the car. You would not believe the amount of Evo's that have issues that people don't even know about.

Simply comparing numbers isn't an optimal way of comparing performance.

Comparing timing numbers is ok-ish, check this thread for more info re: timing vs mods:

if its done properly then a full tune should be fine. but will require you logging and sending logs and rom to mapper to tweak and send back, log again, send off to mapper etc etc

Mellon tuning offer a good email mapping service. But the EVO owener needs to be on the ball, willing to pay out for the right equipment

I have a few examples of maps done this way, I'll post them in the Hall of shame, see if you can spot what's wrong with them:D

 generic maps or email 'proper' tune?

.....I'll look forward to seeing them, you should name the company/tuner as well :smthumbup

They are not generic, US based company supplied. I'll do some screen cuts and post them.
