Bought a Evo IX from a local guy i knew....

Anyway all the work was carried out by wrc-tech & its running 390/388. It seems like its over fueling, it always seems to be a big smell of fuel.

Do i need it re done or could i have a problem somewhere...?

Am down in the south coast anyone know of anywhere local or suggest the best place to take it?

Rgds.

John.

Sounds like it may be running a bittu rich.

Maybe worth taking it abck to where the work was carried out. Or have a look in the traders section see whos close. South coast is a pretty big area.

Do you have a VTA bov fitted, and what sort of mileage do you get from a tank of fuel?

Is it a rich smell or actual petrol?

Thanks for the reply guys....

First off I have a ssqv bov on there, the previous owner had all
the work done at Wrc-tech which from what I can remember have gone
skint a few Years back.

As for miles to a tank I get around 200-230 max.

And as for smell just seems rich, no flames either :(

Thanks Antony...

So where would I go from here? Is it worth getting a new remap?
Am based in Dorset & not to bothered about traveling. Any suggestions?

If it is rich on boost there will be good gains to be had. As you have been mapped before mapping is cheaper. We can offer mapping if required :)

That MPG is about correct for an average, VTA bov's tend to smell a little when they vent also. Most Evo's smell terrible when you follow them, due to the decat etc. Best idea is to get it run on one of the rolling road days and see what AFR/Lambda it's running.
