as above text speak tends to get ignored on here

your best bet for a ecuflash remap is the R Spec mapping days, there was 1 last saturday, keep your eyes open for the next one

Also if you have 400 hp on ecutek, what are you hoping to gain with ecuflash?

as above, and what mods have you done to the car, should give an idea what potential the engine has.

Also, some people dont push the 7 engine as hard as others, due to weaker rods, i dont know if the Geekmappers follow this thought or not

Around 400 would seem possible with a IX turbo, what boost are you running? Idle and drivability should be pretty much spot on with the stock ECU if done correctly and no post map fiddling has been done.

it hits 1.7 and drops and holds about 1.5 as your going up the revs and no fiddling has been done:shake:

Our 400/400 VIII MR 320 tends to drop revs in slow manoeuvres like parking, it's a common problem which IIRC is attributed to the re-circ standard dump valve.

The smoke doesn't sound good though. I'd get the car to a reputable Evo specialist & have it checked out.

If the car has been re-mapped with the standard re-circ d/valve then the idle issue should be resolved:)

The smoke however....could be down to overfuelling but as Carina says, best get it checked out.

That is just the base idle needing resetting, next time you have a service get them to reset it:smthumbup

Try MA Developments (http://www.apra70.dsl.pipex.com/), they're in Maidenhead so not a million miles from you & Mark Shead is one of the best.
