Hi Guys,

I have a question about rom swaps.

What I need in order to change my EDM rom 88840017 to another one.....for example 88590015 or another one like this?

What modification needs to be made into periphery to change different roms?

Thanks

Some rom changes are possible and the car will run fine, other don't work. As with any change like this you need to be very careful and check everything is working and the car is running correctly.
There are not really any benefits to changing ID unless you want to run one of the Tephra modified ones, or live map by John Banks etc.

This is the reasons Grayw,

I want to try John Live map at this time.

After I will try also Tephra v6 mod for my actual rom id.

So what do you suggest to do in order to make it happens?

Could it be better to try with 88570008? Since 88590015 is MR USDM rom and my car is a EDM version maybe it`s better to try with 88570008 340 uk.

So what you suggest?

Thanks

Would try 88570008 and see what happens, you may/may not need to disable the immobiliser.

Bringing this one back up from the dead :)

Has anyone used 8859xx15 over 88570008?

Reason being, 88590015 seems to be getting all the attention...

It will work but I do not recommend it.
A lot of codes must be disabled if you will try to run 88590015.
USDM codes will give you some trouble if you will try to run it on a JDM car.
I start the car with 88590015 but the car run like crap.
