The vote will be biased Ecutek due to the difference in cost.
Ask yourself how many really sorted motors (i dont mean mine) are running standard ecu?? Not alot..

Then ask why? And as we know, it's nothing to do with the stock ECUs engine management capability's.

I'd run ECUFLASH unless you have a very good reason to run an aftermarket ECU.

The main reasons for this would be running a high spec engine where you would want to be using the MoTeC's additional features, or if you were frequently tweaking the map, where the MoTeC software is more powerful (AFAIK).

Cheers :)

Post the spec or the car, it would help:)

motec is the daddy without doubt, but also total overkill on a light tuned car.without doubt,i would run aftermarket ecu on a non standard engine if i was going for big power:D

why don't you try vi-pec it runs like a stock ecu but is fully mappable and has many features its a great ecu

For those basic mods a reflash is more than adequate, I would also look at induction and boost control.

by the way ecutek is same as ecuflash?

The same parameters are adjustable using both software applications.

oh so going ecutek or ecuflash doesnt really make a difference then? also someone was saying that bigger injectors should be taken into considerations. that makes sense? oh for induction i was searching through the forums cuz im going to deal with that same time

Not needed on standard turbo.

Motec ecu would be a massive waste of money which would be better spent on a few select parts and a good ecutek/ecuflash remap.
