My Toad alarm on my evo iv is knackered beyond economical repair and my local specialists have recommended a sigma s1. Anyone got any experience with this system or sigma in general? Also what sort of price is reasonable, they want 350, seems expensive. Don't want to spend the cash and find out it's rubbish. Any opinions??

Sigma's are a decent system tbh, factory fitted to most uk scoobs, and afaik they're no trouble :)

I would get a 2nd opinion on your toad though, as thats highly unusual?? and toad cat 1's come with a lifetime warranty if installed in the appropriate manner by an authorised installer.

May be worth you ringing toad directly - just incase the peep's you used to inspect it are struggling for work and are taking the ******. Unfortunately this does happen in the world that we live in.

All the best with it anyway, Brian

Thanks for all the advice guys, car booked in for 9am tomorrow. Oh, and the Toad was fried when a mate tried some ill advised electrical work on it. The chip is wrecked and although it is covered by the guarantee it doesn't cover idiots fooling with it. :) .

The price is quite expensive for a cat 1.

Sigmas have quite a few issues, check out the SIDC forum's. They even have a resident Sigma engineer because the issues are so common.

Clifford, Viper, Hornet, Toad, Cobra..... any of them will do you nicely :)
