I went to my car on monday morning and it wouldnt start. Seemed very laboured to get going. So tuesday morning i replaced the battery. Went to start it tusday it would turn over much better but still wouldnt start. I replaced the fual pump to a walbro today to see if that would help, it didnt. The cars a seven, any ideas please? Oh and when we fire it over the fuel pump doesnt to be working. Could it be an immobiliser issue??

Dan,
E7 workshop manual is here (https://www.lancerregister.com/art_wsm.php).

As mentioned, check the fuel pump relay and fuses.

Normally if it's an immobiliser issue then it won't even crank over.

Remove the coin holder by the drivers knee and you should see 3 relays on the left. Remove the middle one and try it in the top, if this does not work, try it in place of the bottom one.

The alarm/immobiliser would be next to check.

Tis fuel pump related Ant.
Wired direct from the battery and the car starts fine apparently.

Did you find out what the problem was?

Mines doing exactly the same thing. Tryed swapping the relays and nothing but works when wiring the pump directly off the batery??

Cheers
