just heard that there is people doing open ecu mapping ecu flash, thats alot cheaper then ecutek? whats the crack with it? anyone doing it on here around 30 miles from manchester? new to all this mapping stuff dont no much:lol:

There are quite a few people doing it, but it's not like professional remapping.

Most people, including the people who developed the mapping software, do it in their spare time as a hobby.

You can even teach yourself how to do it for very little outlay.

Its both the same, they both use a base map and then mapping to suited your car, they both do exactly the same.
Only Ecutek has a license, you have to pay extra for that and locks the initcode.
Both are used by profesionals maybe not in the UK but in the US. In the US they almost never use Ecutek for a reason, price!! why pay more for only a license.
Ecuflash if done by somebody who knows what he is doing is the way to go and keep money in your pocket for other parts for your car.
