Thats the link for Evoscan, $20 which is about 10 squids at the moment. I got my cable the other day and used the software today. Good stuff :)

ECUFlash (http://www.openecu.org/index.php?title=EcuFlash)

Your need to join Aktivematrix to download the unlocker here (http://www.aktivematrix.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=13&sid=661c3e273b84d7a2b2e7894516c0e00f)

Started to read that thread iam really intrested in how to go about mapping but i think iam going to have to read that a few times to get my head around it to start with. Dose anyone know of any books that give the basics to mapping and the basic make up of how ecu's work in general.

thanks, for the links, thats a good guide the logging graphs seemed easy enough to follow were they made using evoscan or did he put them together.

the graph at the bottem looked the most useful , i thought you would have to log egt's though.

if you can measure the amount of knock directly, are the afr values, used more to gain torque on wot and econemy when cruising, or are they a better way of keeping your engine safe.

also is u.s fuel 91 = 95 and 93= 99 ron and are our uk cars fitted with the jdm map senor he spoke about?
