hi there guys my friends got a evo 6 but has declared it of the road the car has a ralliart ecu and produces 360bhp at 1.5 bar of boost.

if he disconnects the battery leads for a few months would the ecu loose its memory or will it be o.k as its a ralliart and the car also has a alarm.

NEED YOUR HELP!!!

It is hard coded, things like error codes etc are soft coded.

No removing the ECU for a few weeks is no worse than getting a flat battery.

They are fine to romove

thanks antony really appreciate your help.
will disconnect the battery and it should be o.k hopefully and i should not loose my map or anythink else as such. it will be disconnected until April or May even.

It will lose the car / fuel specific corrections though.

When it's re connected, just leave it idling for 10-15 mins with no electrical load and then the same again with the A/C, lights, demister on.

Then as it's driven it'll adjust for the fuel.
