Cool Bespoke Evo Blueprint Artwork

Hello guys, I'm Dan from Black Art Graphics and I'm pleased to be on MLR to share with you guys some products we've been making for Evo enthusiasts lately!

Our product is called 'Engineered Art', custom designed laser engraved blueprint artwork for your Evo, including everything that make your car personal to you, from the number plates and VIN numbers all the way up to the fully modified visual appearance and technical specification of a full on competition car!

These designs are created using a specially shot set of reference photographs which allow us to produce a genuine looking 'orthographic' CAD illustration, each one is made up of around 25 separate images to produce a zero perspective drawing with fantastic detailing and accuracy.

Once we have the base model on file we can then modify the appearance and technical specification to suit the customers specific vehicle. Whether it's just adding the number plates and VIN number, a change the wheels, lower the ride height, camber on the wheels or even add aftermarket bodywork (subject to the customer being able to provide suitable reference images), we strive to create a completely one off blueprint for your exact vehicle.

A PDF proof copy is then emailed over for you to check all the details and ensure 100% satisfaction with the finished product. Once approved for manufacture the finished artwork is laser engraved on a 3mm thick anodised brushed aluminium plaque as the ultimate petrolhead keepsake!

A video of the machine in action can be found here!

We've done a few Evo's now the 4,5,6,8 and 10 are on file, though the 5 and 6 are our newest additions featuring full interior detailing! (The 8 and 10 will receive interiors next time they get ordered! )

Each piece comes with a wall mounting kit which attaches directly to the back of the plate and allows it to be hung without the use of a frame, to really accentuate the fact that it is a solid piece of material and not just a fancy print!

We can create artwork for the Evo 1,2,3,7 and 9 on request, though ideally we need some pre-orders in as we always have a waiting list on new artwork commissions which takes priority!

Prices start at £145 for the A3 size plaques including UK delivery and as standard we include the owners name, number plate and VIN. We also offer larger A2 size plaques at £285 including UK delivery. Modifications will add to the price depending on how long they take us to detail in, we have an options list on our website product listings so you can check the relevant mods you wish to add and it'll update the price as you go! Our existing Mitsubishi range is available on our website here, and I've set up a 10% MLR forum discount, just enter MLR16 at checkout!

I would be delighted to answer any questions you may have and hopefully we'll be drawing up some of your cars soon!

I think I can see one of these on the wall of my "Man-cave" very soon

Can you add in very minor exterior mods like an exhaust tip for instance for the basic price and the spec of the car 'internals' on the 'blurb'?

This looks ace. My car is a work in progress at the minute bodywork wise. So as soon as I have completed it, this will certainly be next..

Very cool.....

Yes we'll do text for free (unless it's a full parts table with numbered balloons dotted around the projection views as that takes a while to do!), and if you can provide us a decent quality photo we can change the exhaust to suit.

We need to see it at the angle we draw it at, so a shot like this is required:

Unfortunately we cannot profess to be experts in every single model for every marque we create drawings for, so we rely on the customers feedback to get the details perfect (or near perfect).

Every customer gets a proof copy to approve before manufacture, if things like this aren't pointed out then they will unfortunately get missed!

Haha, that would be stretching it a bit, I haven't seen James since school! A deal is always available if you drop in to the studio.

I've had quite a few interested in the Pulsar but sadly no-one has actually stepped forwards and put some money down to get it done!

They look cool.

FYI - the block on the 4G63 is not aluminium it's cast iron. Also the drawings are over dimensioned and should feature reference dims.

Well spotted, you must be a draughtsman as well? I did that originally but raised too many questions as to why some were in brackets. Took too long to explain so I took them off again, to be honest it looks a bit cleaner without them even if it's not proper CAD standards.
