Krissyb's EVO 6 RS W.I.P

Thought I'd start a little build thread of my Evo 6 RS . I've owned the car for around 2 months now.

I've always wanted an Evo after Sarah buying her 7 but wanted something rarer to be honest. March last year Vit at JPP imported the car for himself and I immediately fell in love with it. The car was clean , with just a few age related marks.

It was also clean underneath and in the engine bay, it benefited from a few cool JDM mods and was also low mileage with 60k on the clock.

I said to Vit if he ever decided to sell the old Girl I'd have it and in May this year he decided enough was enough and he was going back to Mauritius so offered me the car so I couldn't refuse.

I broke my P1 and the Evo took pride of place in the garage along with the 899.

First Impressions were astonishing far more involving thann my P1 and loads of fun to drive.

The idea of this car to me is to keep it mega clean and tidy and use it whe the suns out and some nice local track days.

Everything I do will be hopefully keeping within the JDM theme along with refurbing old tired bits and pieces. I'll try and log and put up as much as possible so people can see my progress along the way.

Here are some pics of when Vit first got it.

The car benefits from a few simple Mods:

Monster sport Hardpipe kit
Monster sport carbon air box
Monster sport battery relocation kit
Monster sport turbo inlet pipe
HKS Hi Silent power cat - back
ARC manifold heat shield

Front and Rear Brembo E9 Brakes
Ralliart Braided lines
Bilstein coilovers
18"inch speedlines turini's

Apexi boost gauge
Cusco rollcage

Below are some pictures after I removed the Mak stripes.... yes I know criminal but I didn't like them

I will post some more updates later once photobucket stops playing about.

Your car looks absolutely stunning mate, very clean, and I do love the speedline turini's on it, they're one of them alloys that look good on all evos but have an oem look to them.

[BSmall Update][/B]

So Moley was kind enough to give me his genuine front badge to fit.

I also managed to source some brand new hks Kansai plug and timing belt covers and to go with it I ordered new genuine bolts from Ross sport.

I now have 2 kansai covers 1 for spare.

Just some engine bay pics for now, I'll get some more once it's all together.

Just timing cover and new bolts to fit now.

Is it a TME replica or an original TME RS?

she had the TME GSR seat, rear decal and front bumper of a TME
but with the speedometer of an evo 6 ...

vin is CP9A-020xxxx or CP9A-010xxxx ??

she is in good condition and beautiful! I love it!

QUICK UPDATE

So I have a track day booked for the 20th October at Brands and after reading about Oil surge issues I decided to talk to Ross @ Ross Sport.

Great guy and he advised me of the path to take so I now have a lovely HLA Kiggly on the way and a Tomei Scraper.

Also on my hit list were brakes and I now have some 2 Piece Girodiscs on the way Pagid rs29 pads front and rear. The car already has Ralliart braided lines so It'll just be the Fluid to change but I'll leave that upto Gary and the Guys @ APT on the 12th October.

I also managed to get OE Orange side repeaters and Indicators from Ross for a more OEM look.

So in short the car is getting there and Ihave loads to fit in the coming weeks which I'll document and take loads of pictures for people.

Lat but not least are the Evo 8 Enkeis and the R888's I got off Cal&Lisa and they are off to the powdercoaters tomoz for a nice Red to match the Ducati 899 Wheels .

Little engine bay shot from the other day

Wheels to be powdercoated
