* * * 2012 Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series: Rd #1 - Silverstone * * *

The opening round of the 2012 Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series takes place at Silverstone on Saturday 31st March

The Course:
We'll be running the anticlockwise course as we did in 2011; starting from the top of the pitlane and including all of the recently updated Stowe Circuit including both chicanes on the back straight and finishing on the original start/finish straight directly in front of the new Stowe building and spectating area.

Key:
  • Green cube: Start line
  • Red line: The course
  • Orange cube: Finish Line
  • Orange line: Return route to paddock
  • Yellow line: Route to start line
  • Mid blue area: Tarmac parking
  • Light blue area: Gravel parking
  • White area: Garages
  • Burgundy area: Scrutineering area
  • Pink area: Driver & passenger registration and briefing

Capacity:
  • 65 cars
  • Runners List of all Drivers, Cars and Classes will be published here shortly

Practice and Competitive Runs:
We'll aim to give all drivers a minimum of 10 runs on the day with a possible maximum of 16 available (depending on time etc). Everyone is welcome and there are four Evo classes as usual, and an additional Guest class for all other cars, although the guys from 22B.com will be running in their own classes

Regs and Additional Info:
* To remind yourselves of the Rules, Regs and Classes, just click here
* Noise limit is 105 dBA static
* Passengers can register on the day (front seat only) for a nominal charge of £10
* All bookings will receive a PDF info pack via email the week before the event
* Pace Ward will be on hand to deal with any insurance queries, or call them on 01782 286311 now
* Spectating is free

Silverstone Sprint Timetable:

Trophies and Points Table:
Trophies for FTD and the top 3 drivers from each class on the day will be presented after the final run in the new Stowe building.
* Super Pro - Class A
* AP Tuning - Class B
* Ross Sport - Class C
* Pfitzner Performance Gearboxes - Class D
The points tables and leaderboard will be updated asap after the event. See here for full details

Registration, Briefing and Garages:
Registration and driver's briefing will be in the Stowe building. There are also a small number of garages that will be available for some drivers to use which will be randomly allocated by the MLR.

Bookings:
* On a first come first served basis
* Please don't forget all Drivers need to pay the small Registration fee (£10) which all goes into the Drivers Fund
* Please visit the MLR Shop or call us on 08451 25 26 23.
* Places cost £129 for the day, or a £50 non-refundable deposit can be paid to guarantee a place with the balance being due 30 days before the event (1st March)
* 50/50 places can be registered for and will be offered in order of registration IF there are any 50/50 places available within 5 days of the event
* Please see MLR's Cancellation Policy here

Tyres:
We are hoping that Harkness Tyres will support the 2012 Pace Ward MLRSS and Steve is discussing details with Pirelli to find a way to do so as a number of rounds clash with other rallies he has to support. More details as soon as I have them!

Tuition:
Details to follow.

Spectators:
It's free for Spectators to attend the Silverstone Sprint, and the new Stowe building offers great viewing of the whole circuit

Great...same track. That means there's a lap record to go for.

Click here for last years Silverstone results

MMm, I was running Ksports, NDX Bluestuff pads, an OEM 5 box and an AMS GT35 using vpower last year. If I can beat last years time by 0.39 I'll be happy.

The scarey thing is, BradGT was only 2.01 behind 1st place. His new spec, whatever it is, is likely to be way more than 2 seconds quicker!
