MOT Certificate - How do i get a replacement?

Hello all

One of the MOT certificates for my current car from 3 years ago has gone missing. Is it possible to get a copy of this and if so what is the procedure for doing this and cost.

At the time when this MOT was done, the car was owned by the previous owner so i don't know where the MOT was carried out and exact date.

Any infomation much appreciated.
Many thanks

you can actually get replacement mots from every garage that is an mot testing station... they will charge you but you can do it... you will need to take your log book and I.D

As above. I had to do exactly that for one of my cars a few weeks ago. Cost me £5. The max they can charge is £10. I went to the garage in my village but the mot was not done by them originally

In the trade, this is now concidered equal to old mot's.

...MOT's have been computerised for years now, so that 3 year old one will be possible to re-print at any MOT station, for which there will be a small fee. Ring round some local stations to find one that will do it, at the very least I'd expect the Council Run mot stations to provide this service.
