A cheap 3" ebay turbo elbow is a worthwhile modification. If you can get a lower intercooler pipe at a good price then that would be worthwhile too.
You say you've had the 2 cats removed from your exhaust. Is your check engine light on. If not, someone has either fitted an o2 simulator or turned the light off by using Ecuflash. |

Great shout I'll have a look, I would imagine that I could D.I.Y job them myself with a few scraped knuckles and ample swearing! Yes it is on, I had a local garage check it, they cleared it and within 200 yards it came back on, Biggles has a guide on here to clear it which I'll give a go when I get my cable. |

Don't try the elbow yourself. You'll most likely never get all the bolts out. Just let Rich do it when he's doing your 10.5 housing or 9 turbo.

elbow is a big ole pain in the butt, those bolts are horrid. just when you think they are coming loose they bind up and snap if you dont back them in
i had an EVO400 on mine, it caused boost creep at high RPM but the avcr sorted that in gear judge mode.....not sure about the ebay quality myself.... but break one stud, it will need sorting, id leave that to rich when hes fitting the 10.5t ![]()

Update on the goodies list so far then...
GSC S1 cams £290 Walbro Fuel Pump & BPR8ES plugs £95 E9 Injectors £50 (T.B.C) Ebay cheapo elbow £50 Oil Catch Can £40 10.5 Hotside or IX 90 Series tubby (Still looking) Boost Solonoid (Still looking) Labour and Mapping £T.B.C So spend so far £525 Remaining budget £1475 I'll P.M Rich@RG and ask him ever so kindly to put a price on fitting and mapping. So I think it's looking pretty good, it all depends on the turbo or hotside issue really?

You will also need an uprated bov, a metal one from a later car will work well as the plastic job will not hold boost at the top end The elbow wont do much either the std item is very good so you could save yourself £50, also try and get an apexi or R spec 3 port solenoid this will mean you can hold a lot more boost as well at the top end. Just mt 2ps worth ![]() Lee |

Currently standard brakes, shocks and springs.
I'll be getting a set of upgraded brake pads as the OEM items are crap.
