* * * New PIAA Evo 6 Driving Lamps * * *

Thanks to some considerable work from Chris at PIAA , the MLR can now offer Evo6 owners a cost effective solution to broken fog / spot light lenses, by offering a replacement lamp (lens, reflector and bulb) which fits the original lamp casing. (Please note; this is not a complete lamp assembly including casing).

The new lamp and reflector are E-marked so are UK legal and come complete with PIAA Platinum H3 55=110 bulbs. Thanks to the unique reflector these lamps have a light pattern between a fog and spot lamp which gives a light beam that offers the best of both worlds. The new lamps differ from original Evo6 driving lamps in that they have a slight blue tint and do not have a shrouded bulb. For this reason PIAA recommend that these are only sold as a pair.

Exclusively available through the MLR, weíre offering them at a special introductory price until the end of May; MLR members of £59+vat each. Non member price is £75 +vat each. P&P is £10 per pair.

They are currently in stock and can be ordered through the MLR Shop or by calling us direct on 0845 12 LANCER (526237). Please allow 7 days for delivery.

* We are aware that this isnít a solution for Evo6 owners who donít currently have driving lamps, but we are still working on this too, so watch this space.

This is excellent news and much thanks to all involved in securing this amazing deal.

The glass got broken on one of the lights on my Ralliart 6, and I was faced with paying mega money for one or using a secondhand item.

Now thanks to the MLR (and Chirs at PIAA) I can get brand new replacements at a bargain price.

We expect to receive these lamps from PIAA tomorrow so we'll get them out asap to everyone who has ordered them

I have just received this from Chris at PIAA to clarify the fitting;
"The lamp is fully interchangeable with the original lamp. All you need to do is swap original wire from the back of the lamp that you are replacing and put this on the new lamp, this takes just a 1 minute a side, no cutting or joining just un plug and plug back in"

Thumbs up Pair of fog lights

Can you please give me a shout if you get the whole units as been looking everywhere for a pair and not willing to pay silly money that the dealers quote.

Keep up the good work Darin we know we can rely on you to get it sorted.

Hi Revs,

Having spoken to a couple of members who have already fitted them - and PIAA to confirm - these new PIAA lamps are actually fitted as whole unit, so apologies from myself and PIAA for the slightly misleading info at the start of this thread.

Installation instructions courtesy of R1CK5 ;

You need to remove the original lamp and the fixing bracket and then take the casing off the back of the lamp to allow you to remove the piece of wiring loom (this has to be swapped over due to the plug being different).

Then you just need to remove the back from the new lamp and fit the old (original) piece of loom, then put the lamp back together attach the bracket and fit.

Hey presto - lovely new lights!!

I'll print this off and send with all new orders from now on.

no they don't, they only are the lamps. if you have no brakets they'll not fit.

I've just imported a VI GSR, one side has a broken lens and the otherside is just covered up with a plastic lid (so it should be a broken lens) too. I am having so much trouble trying to get a replacement light..... or even the fog light covers (RS).

So are these Piaa lenses still available?? and which price will I pay (as a member)???
Thanks

Ichyban,

The replacement lamps are still available but I'm still waiting on a delivery from PIAA. Unfortunately they're saying it's going to another 5 weeks before they're here as they're made to order in Japan, but as soon as they're here they'll be available on the Shop and I'll post on this thread.

MLR member price is £65 +vat & del per lamp (Non member price is £80 +vat & del per lamp)

If you really can't wait, then I think [email protected] and Co-ordsport can get you the RS covers, but from memory there about the same price as these lamps.
