Stunning Rare Evo 6 RS2

White evolution 6 Rs2 for sale.

I bought the car as a little winter project and I have really enjoyed turning it into what it is today, I will post a link to the mini restoration thread for those of you that haven't seen it but basically it's just had a glass out paint job with many many new parts, all parts restored before put back on, I have spent a small fortune on it, the results speak for themselves, I'm sure that everyone will agree it looks stunning.

A little background on the cars history before I bought it.

The previous owner also bought it as a project as it happens and he hardly drove it. Being mechanically minded he started tackling the underneath, removing all mechanic components and restoring/replacing parts as he went along, he knew there was no rot as the previous owner to him had it welded and with that in mind he cleaned up where required and fully under sealed it before putting it back together. Usual stuff like fuel neck, arbs, links etc, also a nice addition of a full Ralliart bush kit and a new big Blake kit, he also serviced the car and fitted a new cam belt kit.

Believe it or not It took him best part of 3 years to do this, thanks to a large heated garage he had no time restraints. He's also disabled and has medical complications so he could only do this type of work when fit enough which is understanding, doing this type of work on axle stands when you fit and healthy is hard enough let alone when you not.

So when he completed this work it left him with the bodywork work, now this is something that he could not do himself and after much deliberation he decided not to complete the project and sell on.

A little about this particular model for those that don't know.

The RS2 is an RS with added features from the GSR, it was also built for the European market, it can be distinguished by the 17 digit chassis number, It also has the warning labels in English on sun visors glove box etc which is nice.

The RS2 was built in very limited numbers and most of them LHD making this RHD example quite rare, total numbers are rumoured to be approximately 1600 with a large percentage of them being left hand drive.

For those that remember Mitsubishi/Ralliart UK officially imported approximately 40 cars, a few then converted in different trim/spec RSX, RS sprint and of course the Extreme. My car was a "grey import" in 2004 I believe.

So, RS base plus;

* Air con
* Electric windows
* Electric mirrors
* Central Locking
* 260kph clocks in black
* Airbags
* Brembos
* Adjustable headlamps
* Alloy wheels
* Choice of colours ( white or silver I think)

The is car very close to standard apart from a stainless steel exhaust, the front calipers the Recaro seats and a set of coil-overs. It drives as it should with 0 issues especially with the new OE clutch just fitted.

Evo 6 RS2 1999, V193 EVO will come with the car and option to purchase R55 TWO. registered in the UK 2004, 4 owners, 83000 kilometres tax/Mot and in use. For those that will do a MOT history check you will notice a discrepancy in the mileage this is due to the last owner thinking it was a good idea to swap the clocks to evo 6 Ralliart MPH not knowing what a mistake he was doing, correct clocks now back in the car and mileage corrected accordingly the car reads in kilometres and was never converted. A new MOT will be put on the car prior to sell.

Engine

Standard ecu/boost
Scorpion exhaust
Decat ( stock included)
Blitz downpipe
Correct RS turbo in fine condition

Rear seats newly re trimmed using an RS bench ( as Ralliart did) rare interior and the much lower sitting position makes the driving experience even better.
I also have OEM seats.
Clean and tidy the only think to point out is a phone holder that was previously fitted, however this has not bothered me as it's out of the way.
New foam bolster fitted on the drivers seat.

Exterior
Fully repainted in the original scotia white, professionally no corners cut everything stripped, including shuts and returns.
Glass out with new moulding fitted.
New badges throughout
.Every nut/bolt and related brackets/trim replaced or refurbished.
All OEM with the the Ralliart stripes.

Wheels/tyres/brakes
Refurbished professionally in the OE silver
New decals
Matching Pirelli tyres with 6/7mm
Rear brembos new discs/pads
New stoptechs at the front £1500+alone

Suspension
Cusco coilovers in great condition no knocks and bangs and no rust
Ralliart bush kit
Recent arb links
Upgraded rear ARB also new
Geometry just done.
Handles superb with good road manners when driving sensibly.

Transmission
New silver box exedy clutch kit
789 OE flywheel
Gearbox/diffs all good

To summarise, I feel that I have turned this car in to something that can be appreciated at any show but it can also be driven in all weathers and occasions thanks to its stock engine and clutch and of course air con , it really is nice to drive in standard trim. Yes it can perhaps be improved here and there and maybe even a full underbody restoration but then what...?? You going to stick it in your garage and drive it once a year? Believe me you don't wanna do that, I have driven this car more times in a few months then my fully restored like new 5RS in years. With that said if you would like to do that in the future you can as you as it's a nice base and rare model that will only appreciate in value in years to come.

I may have forgotten stuff but I will add to if I do. Please get in contact with any questions you may have. The pictures I have currently aren't the greatest, the car is booked with a detailer and then I will photograph it properly, meanwhile I will add a few. Viewing by appointment and I'd prefer weekends.

The car will be advertised here 1st if it doesn't sell I have asked a Trader to retail it for me on SOR terms.

Any inspection welcome.

Price is £16000

Probably the best combination of evo ever, lightweight rs bits, but with luxury too, once restored like this an absolute collectors piece shouldn't struggle to sell it at that cheap price, best of luck.
