I'd love to be part of these events but I'm in the south east and they always seem to be well up north!

Thanks very much it's been fab to be part of and thanks even more for a photo of my lush little II . Haven't been to one for a few years as didn't have an Evo / couldn't get to the first few this year but was looking forward to starting again later this year at Teesside

Still think it should go back to how it was in the beginning - just a few one offs with no series / classes / points or anything - just turn up for the fun of it.

Thanks to all of the team for organising these over the years. From my first tentative local sprint at Ingliston in 2009 to doing the series from 2010 onwards it's been a fantastic competitive alternative to regular trackdays. Even if I rarely got away from the bottom end of the results table (and glossing over killing my first Evo at Kames) I look forward to doing more if you manage to sort something out.

Superslick organisation at a level many could learn from. Probably the best value sprint events ever.

Some monster cars and pretty handy drivers.

Even had an F1 driver turn up at one event at Silverstone, they got their a55 kicked and cleared off after practice IIRC

Some great memories from the sprints I did, always some good banter to be had on the forum before and after.

A credit to all involved.

Only ever been a spectator at the MLR Sprints as my pockets are just not deep enough to enter the V, but these events have been some of the best motorsport events I have had the pleasure of attending.
From the MLR staff, to all the competitors, to all of the MLR members attending you should all be so proud of the way in which these sprints have been organised and run. Seems times are changing but hope this comes back one day in the future. It's only when you loose something you start to realise just how much you want it back.

Hopefully it will be back after a rest and once people stop moth balling cars and start using them again , its been a pleasure attending nearly every round since before it was even a series with just random 1 off events, look forward to its return in the future

Real shame but everything has to come to an end if catering for 1 marque that's dying.

I enjoyed the sprints from the first ones at Haynes motor museum, met some great and not so great people along the way. I'll miss it.

Here's some of my archived pics:

Where it all began Haynes:

Times were close:

Looks who's here!

The one and only sprint at the top gear test track:

Often a nice hello from our post friend weebl

Very funny setups over the years:

Who is this?!? A rather slim looking lee

Nigel's old Evo, what a motor this was, can't wait to see he new one go:

Ian in his old girl..

Smithy500

Gaz@cpp never could help himself before he retired:

What he can do I can do better

Linfo in a rare straight moment, more often full on sideways

Sometimes a bit sideways is acceptable

Tme Monte rs

Phil's Evo

Early Knoxville

I'll miss it

I have some awesome memories of the MLRSS that will last me a lifetime, met some really nice like-minded petrol heads and made some good friends, sad times but hopefully demand will return for the series in the future!

Yeah, those were the days.............when I would have won class 1 in a 300bhp Evo II if it wasn't for a pesky "standard" VIII MR running circa 380 bhp

Thanks for the memories Darin. The MLR sprints was what I loved doing most in my car. I think when Haynes started off it was rare for me to miss an event.

I do hope to be back in an Evo one day, but now with two kids my funds will always be diverted elsewhere. :-)

Also great memories from sprinting.

I started off at Ingleston in 2008 doing my marshal and also in 2009 (do anything for a fish supper ) and decided then I had to compete. Spent the next 5 years travelling the country competing, even tho I was always the slowest (eh Nick ) I didn't care as the whole event including the road trip was a blast. Met some brilliant people, hated the 'clique' references all the time as it was never like that.

Massive thanks to Darin, Michelle, lee,Dave, Debs and everyone else who helped or competed and made it such a fantastic series.

Wee special mention to the lads taking the pics, got some great photos of my cars and loved every one of them. Cheers lads.
