anyone drive a corsa or fiesta

ok currently looking for a cheap reliable runabout while my evo is away being totally restored.

thinking about either a 2010 1.2 corsa or a 2010 fiesta zetec s 1.6

obviously the fiesta is more expensive and bigger engine being a 1.6l

and the corsa is cheaper but smaller 1.2l engine so not sure how well it would cope on motorways etc.

just wanted peoples experiences if anyones driving or owned either car which you would prefer and why.

I drive a corsa 2007 1.3 cdti, not sure how it compares to a 1.2 but I use it as my work horse and it sits comfortably at 80 on the motorway, being a diesel I get almost 600miles from a tank

Can't see a price on that mate.

I was looking for a really cheap runabout last week and came across a Honda Jazz with 67k miles and a years mot. Got it for £600 and **** me what a wee peach it is. Just done 2k mile travelling all over england and it never missed a beat. The interior is pretty good and it's all electric.

Only fault is the bodywork, looks like it competed in a demolition derby but for £600 I don't care lol.

I got a really nice 14 plate Fiesta 1.25 Zetec as our runabout in Spring. Used it for family of 4 holiday even. Very nice car cheap to insure and tax, etc. Does excellent MPG on a tank. I suspect the pre-facelift 2010 car will be just as good and cheaper of course.

You have to be really careful with the Corsa D, I've had quite a few on the ramp here with rotten front subframes and a replacement is over £500 from Vauxhall...
