So far...

Removed

A.c. system includes a.c pipes and a.c radiator

Main radiator

Also removed manifold studs for inlet & exhaust...getting closer to a inspection of the head.

Removed all the pink from the engine bay

Along with the plate holder delete ....much cleaner
Day 2

Got to remove the A.C. lines from fire wall to the front along with the a.c. dryer and rad.

A.c. rad was a mess just fell apart..

Also manage to break loose the exhaust manifold bolts .... Finally now for sale as I'm going cast route.

Manage to free the inlet bolts just one left on driversunder side and a complete pain to get to..oh the and the 2x support bracket bolts underneath big port to go on when rebuild..
Some Weight reduction ..
A.c. pump is next once tdc is set.

Full rebuild 2.3 stroker kit awaiting to go on once the heads condition is established

What you doing with the compressor and pipes? You binning them or keeping them for the future? Contemplating refitting mine maybe one day, not totally sure yet.

I'm not using a.c compressor or pipes again & plan on keeping it off as I'm going down RS diff route with many future deletes such as rear wiper many more.

Don't throw it in the bin then, throw it over to Cardiff please, save wasting it

Your plans sound exciting but I'm wanting to go back to stock with factory air box, BOV etc... that may change though I'm really not sure. Don't know if I really need to refit air-con but it's a luxury I do quite like

Renewed my MLR membership, scraped all the damp mud out from behind the rear wheel arch liners (does that class as a weight reduction mod? ) and finally got round to fitting the mud flaps from the group buy.

Got rid of the horrible lockwood dial set the car had, and fitted the TME set I bought off EvoGB ages ago.

After a little faffing with the Odometer to keep my original miles, everything is in and looking much better. The TME cluster was missing an LED or 2, naughty naughty.
