2008 Evo X - Orient Red - 454BHP

Due to an upcoming house move I have sadly decided to sell my beloved Evo X. I have owned the car for the last 3 years and loved every minute of it; even the ups and downs of requiring a £15k full engine rebuild and upgrade! The engine rebuild was completed by Jamie @ EvoTune in August 2015 and has since only done 4-5k miles. The engine was rebuilt at 68k miles and the car is currently showing just over 72k miles.

The car is a 2008 Evo X FQ300 GSR in Orient Red with the following Specs

Forged Engine
CP 86.5mm pistons
Bridgeway I Beam rods
ACL engine bearings
ARP head and main studs
Cosworth head Gasket
BC valve springs and retainers
Kelford 241B cams
Evo X HKS Iridium spark plugs
Uprated Timing chain
ID 1000 Fuel Injectors
IHI Billet Turbo
JMF Turbo intake elbow
C-TEC Tubular
ETS 3.5” Evo X Intercooler - Anodised Red
Walbro 450 LPH fuel pump

Transmission
5 Speed Manual Gearbox
Exedy Twin Plate Clutch

Exhaust
C-TEC modular elbow inc downpipe
C-TEC Evo X S-Ti Cat Back Exhaust
Decat pipe
Evo X Intake Kit

Brakes
Stock Brembo Calipers Front & Rear
Girodisc 2 piece Front Discs
MTEC Rear Discs
PF .11 Pads on Front and Rear
Goodridge Braided Break Lines Front and Rear - Coloured Red

Suspension
Stock Blistein Shocks
Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs

Exterior
Ralliart Mud Flaps
Heko wind deflectors (in channel type)
Fully Undersealed during my ownership
Debadged boot with black "Evolution X" badge fitted
Stock Evo X Wheels coloured black

The car was mapped after having the engine rebuilt and is currently running a safe map with 454.9 BHP on 97 RON fuel. When speaking to Jamie on collecting the car, if run on 99 RON fuel, he believed it would be much closer to 500 BHP.

The car currently has 2 faults showing on the dash; a headlight requiring service and AYC requiring service (photos included). The alloys have been powder coated black however could do with being refurbished as they are scuffed. The price reflects the above issues.

I am looking for offers in the region of £12500. I have a folder full of reciepts for the car with plenty of history. For any more information or pictures contact me either by text/whatsapp on 07921625959 or email brianpratt84[at]gmail.com. The car is located in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

Looks a good honest car.

Why did the engine need to be re-built? The faults with the car, are they just warnings of maintenance work that needs to be done (like change AYC fluid?)

The car is a good honest car, The engine rebuild was brought on by a piston fracture. The block as part of the rebuild went through a machine shop and was rebored and honed. The fluid is low on in the AYC reservoir fault may be caused by that or there may be a issue with another part of the system. I unfortunately live a 2 hour drive away from the nearest place to have it diagnosed and havent had time to go.

Hi spikem, yeah the car is still available, considering plunging back into the Evo market? I remember seeing your 10 looked like a really nice car.

sorry havent had Chance to get back to you in a while, I've been really busy back in Germany again at the Minute..

Q. do the CP Pistons make a rattling/tapping Sound? I've had CP Pistons before in one of my engines and they sounded a bit slappy if you know what I mean.

apart from the AYC are there any other issues with the car?

cheers

Hi

No the pistons didn't make a slappy noise that was noticeable anyways.

The car is now sold, it has gone to Spain.
