So could all the numbers in-between what you've listed on page 1 just be the "standard" FQ-360 (non-MR) versions...?

If you also pulled together the info on those too then likely you'll solve the "mystery" of how many there actually are, MR and non?

Are there any build numbers which double up? IE 123 as an MR and 123 as an FQ
You have to understand the process that Mitsi UK used to create the FQ cars to get the answers to your questions.

The basics are that they imported X hundred Japanese JDM GSR models when each new version of the JDM Evo was released, then stuck various bits on them, mapped them and sold them as the various FQ models in the UK.

So, IX FQ-360s started life as JDM Evo IX GSR models and Evo IX MR FQ-360s started life as JDM Evo IX MR models.

When you then consider that the Evo IX MR didn't yet exist when the Evo IX FQ models were released (the IX MR is essentially a facelift model of the IX), then you can understand that there will be doubling up of numbes and the IX FQ and IX MR FQ cars are completely different batches of cars.

The Evo IX was released in Japan in January 2005. The IX MR FQs were released in 2007, so there was quite a gap between them.

With the lengths I went to with the search I would be very surprised if there were anywhere near the 200-225 quoted by Mitsubishi

The list of 100 seems a lot more realistic really.

If there was 200 I should of found well over 100 by now.

Why isn't it as simple to just speak with CCC / Mitsubishi UK and ask for a define number which were bought into the UK? Surely someone there would know and could confirm or deny.

I don't understand why there would be a number of 200-225 floating about if there were only 100. If there were only 100 it would of been an even more unique selling point from new.

I know they struggled to sell the last few -pre- registered cars so just seems odd why they would make a number up.

The whole numbers on the rarer models just seem so strange. TME/ HKS etc.

I agree,

But in truth most at CCC are not interested to be honest, there was a couple of UK 8 MR's that didn't even get a number but CCC confirm they are UK cars

That sends it to 99 IF they come from the UK and not one of the already numbered ones. (Think that's right?)
