What clutch are people using in high spec evo's. IM using a quarter master 8 leg rac clutch which is very harsh which i like but no one stocks parts over here so its getting annoying to say the least. Been looking at nd twin and triple plate clutches, but want reviews off people who have used them and dont want excedy before anyone suggests them.
I had an Xtreme Carbon ceramic (which is now for sale) but it was really harsh, it really did not want to slip. My friend had an exedy twin plate and did not have the harsh engagement. I ended up buying an Exedy too, I highly recommend one, second to none and still useable.
I used to use an OS Giken twin plate in my 5 running about 490, no probs whatsoever in the 2 years I had it. A bit on/off but thats the nature of twin plates.
I use a triple plate Supercutch with 830hp and do lots of launches on the hillclimbs. I replace the plates every year and never had an issue with it. They are quite heavy on the foot and the engagement can be difficult to get right each time but they will handle everything that you can throw at it. I also use a Magnus clutch line restrictor for launch consistency and to reduce shock loading on the drivetrain.

I just aint a fan of exedy and quarter master has way more bite to it but as said above, getting parts is a pain. I like the sound of the triple plate super clutch though. Is no one using the nd clutches?
