os alteration setup

HI All

Reading though the instruction and setting up my OS Giken alteration kit, Iv stripped down the cylinder and now setting up the rod put the picture on the instructions isn't the clearest and wondered which side of the nut or washer people set theres at 115mm, Iv attached pics so you can see what I'm on about.

Any help would be appreciated or do people set theres up by eye once its all fitted allowing a couple of mm between the release bearing and pressure plate?

For anyone who's going to do this. Iv fitted my kit, the release bearing shouldn't touch and should have 2 to 5mm clearance from the fingers of the pressure plate and can be adjusted once all fitted and the box is on.
