Considering this as a next option to a spare engine rebuild, talk to me, staying circa 420 bhp 16g turbo, is it needed, does the investment reap rewards?
If you are building (rebuilding) the engine due to wear, obviously with 16G you are not building some high performance (higher than OEM) special purpose engine..
the head is awesome and to port it is A) not economical B) even superbly ported head will not show clear advantage at 16G flow rates C) not needed because A and B.
Best leave standard.
Balancing is always good, not only because it does yield some minor but real performance output benefits, but also because it improves efficiency which is always a win win, and its cost is modest to boot.
Head no, balancing yes especially if on a twin pkate, they are miles out weight wise. If want a good balancers pm me. Helps smoother running and can help rev higher aswel.
