Well thanks to MLR for organising what was my first track day at Croft today.....Good fun was had.... tyres and brakes were punished

Top day... if a little sunburnt....that croft wind does it again.

Good to meet a few new Evo people and hope to see you all again at the next one

I'll second that! Had a great day out on my first "proper" track day in the Scoob. Nice to meet some old friends and make some new ones. The only problem i've got is that these track days are too addictive! I new this would happen.....

Yip I agree, today was brilliant!! Even from just a spectator and passengers view it was good, loads of nice cars with plenty of power..always nice to see!!!

I got a couple of trips round in the STI with all the stickers, it was great fun and real made me want to get on the track in my car.... maybe next time!

I was also there on Saturday to get a run round in a tuned Caterham R500!!!! that was awesome!!!!!! 1min 30sec lap!!!

I timed that radical today at 1 min 34 with 2 people so that R500 must be bloody quick!.

Everybody i spoke to felt it was a great day and well organised to well done to all concerned!

Oh and if you read this Blandy!!! Get yours on the track !!

Chers Gav.

Croft was great today, and thanks are due to Darin and the rest of the MLR crew who organised a cracking day. Especially big thanks to Graham who helped improved my driving 100%, and managed to do that while nursing his broken ribs.

That set of S bends along the back of the circuit were tremendous fun

Get out there Gav. Took my CTR on track for the first time three weeks ago.

It's a better track car then it is a road car

Massive thanks to Darin, a massive task to undertake, and it all came together perfectly(ish).

Not so impressed with the tyre man- if you're reading this, why couldn't you have let the organisers know that you couldn't make it FFS, rather than causing everyone massive grief trying to get a tyre bloke that could be bothered showing up.

Excellent day, nice to meet so many people, bad luck to those whose cars broke, and see you all soon

Here, here

Thanks to Darin & co, apart from being desperate for a set of slicks I enjoyed my limited sessions on the day. Really felt for Darin, you put all that effort in and then the tyre company let you down on the day and then avoid your calls! Hope you could still enjoy the day Darin and that we didn't ruin your day by chasing you on the tyre front, totally understand it was out of your control.

I wasn't the only one struggling for grip though, whilst behind a white V and a Silver VII we watched the VII step the back end out on the fast section at the back of the circuit. He held things together thankfully then on the same lap the V ran wide taking to the grass briefly at the complex before the final corner on to start/finish. This obviously didn't spoil his fun though as he was absolutely p*ssing himself as he rejoined.

We called it a day early as the DO1J's were really cutting up badly and the understeer was becoming farsical.

Roll on Oulton on the 10th where I'll hopefully sort some slicks. Anyone on here going?

Just adding my bit...

Fantastic day, good selection of cars & perfectly run by Darin and the MLR/Trackstar crew.

My first time at Croft and the first trackday with my TME, had a great day learning the circuit and slowly getting faster and faster as the day went on

Met some great new people, unfortunately not everyone, but hey, there's always next time

Cheers,

Jeff

Thanks guys! Fantastic day all round; great people, great variety of cars and blistering weather! Thanks as always to Mark and Graeme (the MLRs instructors) and Helen (our 3rd instructor on the day), and also Mechell without whom it'd be virtually impossible!!

The only in the whole day (apart from a couple of engines giving up ). . . the tyre company: Hutchison Motorsport. A massive apology to those guys whose day was cut short due to them not turning up AGAIN - absolutely unbelieveable, especially having promised only two days before that they'd be there . . .I still can't believe them not having the decency to even let me know, or answer the phone on the day! All I can say is both myself and Claire (Croft circuit manager) tried for two hours to get someone else there, but with no luck. Sorry - it WILL NOT happen again as we'll have someone reliable next time.

Hope to see you all at the Rally Supercar Day on Saturday 16th August!!!

Cheers,

Darin

Darin, surprised by that. Hutchison do all the RMA days and always turn up.

Maybe it is an (RMA) conspiracy to stop other trackday operators???

Perhaps you should try Silverline again, now that RMA have dropped them
