Highlands / Inverness trusting your Evo too...?

(apologies if this is in the wrong area of the forum)

Looking at getting an Airtrek Turbo R (EVO turbo engine) and wondering if anyone up here can recommend a decent garage that deals with servicing, tuning and general good care of such a fantastic engine...

Many Thanks !

I was going to suggest Brian Downie in Kemnay, primarily a Subaru man but he also looks after several Evo's (and other exotica: McLarens, Porsche, Ferrari, etc) and has done for 20 years. He builds and runs a few rally and track cars too.

No experience of DMC but I might pay them a visit for mapping soon.

Hi

How long have you been dealing with dmc? I was thinking about going there for full service including belts on my evo 6, haven't heard much about him before.

They looked after my road car then built the track car and also maintain it .
All in all about years .
He's in to a lot of rally cars but is doing a lot of road cars now.
He kens evos inside out .

That's good to know. He sounded pretty clued up when I spoke to him on the phone. Pretty reasonable price aswell.

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it too much, the only reason to go to an evo specialist is for the AYC which yours probably doesn't have. Beyond that it's just a car with an engine, nothing special.

I have used DMC for servicing, mapping and four wheel alignment on my TME in the past and had a great service and plenty of advice from Dave

I'll second that for DMC, I use them for servicing on my 10. Excellent service and they specialise in building rally evos so can't go wrong.
