NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!!!! Please read!!!!

Rite as some of you know off mlr, i have been having a stroker kit fitted and and some other stuff done with coast 2 coast motorsport.

after being given the run around on numerous times about my car being ready and then it not being ready, i actually recieved the car back late last week.

Bearing in mind that im a mechanic as trade and could of under took this rebuild job no problem, i still entrusted coast 2 coast with my car as they advertise as EARLY EVO SPECIALISTS!!

To my absolute horror on saturday morning when i put my car on the ramp at work to check thing over for the mot, there was oil coming from every orophis of my bottom end!!! Under closer inspection i couldn't believe what i was seeing on my £3500 rebuild!!!!

Heres a list off the top of my head that i could find wrong with my car:

1. sump bolts left loose or just wrong thread bolts used and crossed threaded into my block (most probably my oil leak!!).

2. passenger side engine mount not tightened and missing one of the studs so replaced by incorrect bolt???

3. altinator adjustment bracket hanging off

4. altinator bolts left untightened

5. sump has just been silikoned on, NO GASKET??!!

6. no inlet manifold gasket????

7. no thermostat

8. crank case oil seal, has been put on with a cross threaded bolt into the block, and one of the bolts had been snapped off in the block

9. orginal oil pump used instead of a new one???

10. radiator leak of pipe snapped off so now need a new radiator!!!

11. no anti freeze has been put in the car, just as well it lives inside eh.... ( oh and yes i did test the strengh of it, it was none existant!!!)

12. some random bolt just floating around in my fan cowling ready to distroy my fan when it came on, thank god it didn't.!!

13. tubo actuator rod held on with what looks like a piece of random metal wire some ones found on the floor, and even then it was only just in the hole, heaven knows the consiquences if that had dropped off!!! i actually just touched it and it fell off????

14. oil pick up pipe in the block has only 2 bolts holding it in??? where the hell the 3rd is, is any ones guess....

This standard of work im afraid is apalling to any standard of car never mind an evolution im sure every one agrees!!!

These falts are just run off the top of my head but i could go on all nite with the problems i have found with the car over the last 24 hours.

To verify that im not talking rubbish with what i have found, i paid for an independant RAC engineers report to be under took while the engine was still in the car, yes this is what he said with out seeing the internal parts!!!..... this has cost me a further £210 + VAT

these were his exact words..

" in 18 and a half years in doing my job this is the 2nd worst built engine i have ever seen!!! in my opinion this car is in no fit state to be used on the public high ways, and in doing so the owner would risk him self and the vehicle!!! "

SO TO ANY ONE THINKING ABOUT TAKING YOUR PRIDE AND JOY TO THIS COMPANY PLEASE THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING BECAUSE THE LEVEL OF WORK THAT COMES OUT OF THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING SHORT OF APPALLING!!!! THEY DONT COMMUNICATE WITH YOU REGARING HOW THE CARS PROGRESSING AND EVEN WORSE THEY BARE FACE LIE TO YOU OVER THE PHONE ABOUT THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE WHEN THEY HAVE NOT BEEN DONE AT ALL.

I AM STILL ABSOLUTLEY GOB SMACKED TO WHAT I HAVE RECIEVED BACK FOR MY MONEY AND NOT ONLY THAT HAVE TO TAKE TIME OF WORK TO COMPLETELY REDO WHAT I PAID FOR IN THE 1ST PLACE!!!!!!

I SUPPOSE ITS A BIT LIKE THAT OLD SAYING, " YOU WANT A JOB DOING RITE DO IT YOUR SELF " !!!!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED EVERY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chris like i said on the phone i feel for you
i have seen too many so called evo experts who build engines when they shouldnt even be building 1.3 astra engines they have no idea about engine fundimentals or building
leaving nuts and bolts lose is totally unforgiveable thats basic and if the have not got the abilty to finnish the job correct then god know what their building skills are internally
hope you build yourself a strong healthy motor and if you need any advise you have my number mate

To be honest I always stay out of these public slatings...

However my one experience with Coast to Coast (Oliver) was also shockingly ****e. Without doubt the worst Evo related experience I have had since being on the forum. They simply haven't got a clue.
