Opinions please on best value options: £400ish budget.
I'm going to need brakes soon (f&r) for brisk/fast road only. On my IX, do I: 1)Stick with my old but still good original discs and put on XP8's, & risk them being too noisy. Not too bothered about dust and some noise. 2)Buy the Godspeed grooved discs & orangestuff pads. Tempting deal. 3)DS2500 + cheap plain discs. I want good cold bite and no fear of fade! Obviously, if I had the budget I'd go for PF 2-piece & xp8's...but a clutch is around the corner. Decisions, decisions...

XP8s are great mate - if, like you said, you're not fussed about the dust. Noise shouldn't be too bad if you bed them in properly and give them a good use every now and then.

Cheers, yes the xp8's sound great.
I'm a bit worried buying them and using them on original discs. The discs are smooth but slight lip on fronts.

Flinty, any feedback on how you getting on with the Godspeed setup?
I'm very tempted by the Godspeed deal to put on a whole fresh set of discs n pads.
