Modified Rear bumper and Diffuser - Page 4

Should have some pictures either today or monday. Its been a very difficult job ensuring no weave distortion and producing a laminate that is thick enough so it isnt considered a flimsy piece of chinese carbon

Pictures as promised.

The last three are of the GRP diffuser attached to the GRP bumper. We used some counter sunk rivets through the bumper into the bonding flange of the diffuser.

If i were fitting this to a standard bumper, then i would use some sikaflex on the bonding flange and rivet behind where the number plate is and under the bumper at the corners of the diffuser.

Will the Carbon Diffuser on its own fit a 8MR rear bumper

is it just cut the section out and stitch the diffuser in with your idea

This will only fit the 9 bumpers, the profile of the flanged section sits up behind the inside of the the bumper perfectly. It can be supplied with a GRP 9 bumper which is slightly modified, it has an extra lip section around the cut out. The only thing to work out is the number plate lights oh and the fog light. On our car we are going to use one of the reverse lights as a fog light so we dont have to cut any extra holes for a massive fog light.
