Hi Chris
The MB147285 is not the clip you need , I know this as ordered these only to fine out the info on the parts catalogue was incorrect . I am 99% sure the clip you need is MB189627 , I will order 1 today so make sure, it will be about a week before I get it , I will post a picture as soon as it arrives. rgds Kevin |

Raph thanks heaps - except I can't read German to bid on it! Is it German? haha
These come up fairly often in Japan...but theyre not cheap Kevin! You champ! I thought I'd be proactive and order the parts you mentioned...just in case theyre right...I really hope so! My question is though, why is part MB189627 specified as a rear part? All the clips in my car look the same from what I see...but as mentioned, all are broken... ![]() EDIT: I found a local clip as an alternative to MB147285...but seeing as I now know I can get the original ones, I thought I'd buy these also Here's my invoice... (btw, we have a 3 week wait here...minimum! But thats ok...) ![]() Last edited by CUL053; 20-03-2012 at 07:06.. |

Hi Chris
There should not be any MB147285 clips needed to hold any of the scuff plates on . Once I get a MB189627 I will post a picture . To confirm the correct part number for the clutch master cylinder is MB012163 this is £125.79 plus vat , this is a 20 days delivery time to us . rgds Kevin |

Thanks nitro20...but I can't PM yet sorry, I'll become a full member soon
Kevin, sorry mate...I didn't explain myself properly... I bought MB147285 for my A-pillar trims...I assume thats where they go? Theyre identical to mine, which are also broken! I'm confused about MB189627 as the receipt above lists it as a rear part...is this correct? Are there other part numbers for the scuff plates? EDIT: I love the internet! I found a diagram that contains an image of MB189627...looks like you're right Kevin, thanks heaps! (11) http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/...e/000018JS.jpg Regarding the master cylinder, I've had mine rebuilt and polished! So I don't really want a new one...I just want the fluid reservoir. I know a local lancer uses the same part...I'll get a second hand one and restore it I think. Last edited by CUL053; 21-03-2012 at 02:40.. |

Hi Chris
I am sure that MB189627 is correct , on my parts look up it describes the part as "CLIP,SCUFF PLATE" no mention of front or rear. Sometimes when parts suppliers name a part they may list as rear however it will fit in other areas as well. Hope this answers you question . rgds Kevin |

I regularly see Starion clutch master cylinders on ebay, brand new for around £30 - I think this is the same part....

PaulS - thanks heaps...I just need the reservoir...hopefully one of the sellers will be able to supply one!
Kevin - Shame on the clip Thanks for trying. I coincidentally found those clips 2 days ago from a 1985 Mitsubishi Pajero...they dont suit sadly, and can't be made to suit either ![]() I'm on the verge of drilling through it and using self tapping screws ![]() |

Hi Chris
You cannot drill to fit the scuff plates, I am waiting on the factory for an update on a another part number. I have bought these clips a few years ago so I am sure we can still get them . With reference to the clutch bits, as follows Resivior MA115416 £5.48 Resivior clip MB012155 £2.13 Resivior Cap MA151577 £6.63 You should still be able to get these from your main dealer . I've just pulled some parts out of storage and realised this...what have you guys done to replace these? Mine hast rusted UNDER the rubber coating... EDIT: These go on each of the doors, and clip into the door in between the door skin and the glass. Is Australia theyre called "door belts" apparently... ![]() Last edited by CUL053; 02-04-2012 at 09:52.. |
