* * * Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series - Round #2 Oulton Park * * *

Round 2 of the Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series sees more sideways action at Oulton Park on Friday 23rd April

Course and Cars:
The course will be the FULL tarmac rally course that we used for the first time in 2009 to rave reviews, where everyone continued to get quicker throughout the day as they got to grips with the unique tarmac. Everyone is welcome and there are four class for all Evos and an additional Guest class for everything else.
As the day will be shared with our own MLR trackday, the paddock will be split into two so all Sprint cars have numbered tarmac parking.

To remind yourselves of the Rules, Regs and Classes, just click here

Additional Info:
* Pace Ward will be on hand to deal with any insurance queries, or call them on 01782 286311 now
* The noise limit is 105dBA for the day
* Protyre will be onsite with tyre support (call Shaun or Jason to order yours; 01782 411001)
* Passengers can register on the day
* All bookings will receive a PDF info pack via email the week before the event.
* Professional tuition will be available
* Spectating is free

Would anyone care to expand on this comment?
What is unique about the tarmac?

Any tyre recommendations gratefully received as well

Cheers, Dan.

the tarmac at oulton is like no other it is laid with a fine glass which causes it to be very slippery it's to simulate a gravel rally situation iirc. it is very weird to drive on your sliping and sliding and you think there is no grip come to brake and you get a bit of grip

tyre recomendations if it's dry as soft and grippy as ****ing possible and as much tempraturs as possible as quick as possible
