* * * Sumo Power Sponsor MLR Sprints Series for 2008 and 2009 * * *

The MLR is extremely pleased to announce that Sumo Power is the new title sponsor for MLR Sprint Series. The Japanese tuning parts specialists who are based in the UK and Japan were so keen to be associated with the Series they have also taken the unique step of committing to 2008 and 2009.

Andy Barnes, Sumo Power MD said:
We are proud to now give real support to the MLR Sprint Series and its competitors as well as the Mitsubishi Lancer Register as a whole. Our sole intention is to support our customers and their ambitions to modify and drive their cars in all shapes and forms from the street to the circuit. Sumo Power is known for its competitive nature within the scene and we are eager to support those who share that same passion with the parts we use ourselves and supply to MLR members. We wish all competitors safe and exciting racing in 2008 and 2009 where we will be in full support of Darin and the MLR team.

Darin Frow, MLR Chairman said;
It’s fantastic to welcome Sumo Power as the title sponsor for the MLR Sprint Series. Being an active competitor in motorsport Sumo Power are a perfect partner for the MLR, not only reflecting what we offer our members who compete in the MLRSS, but as one of the foremost Japanese performance parts suppliers in the UK, we’re now able to offer our members and competitors greater support and benefits, both of which are fundamental aspects of any club.
To have this commitment from Sumo Power is a dream start to the new year, but to have a two year deal for 2008 and 2009 will mean even more Evolutions in Action!

With virtually all seven rounds of the 2008 Sprint Series being booked up within four days of the calendar being released, the popularity of the Series is now well and truly confirmed. As you'd expect from Andy and Rob, Sumo Power intend to be very involved with the Series and have a few things up their sleeves for the year - we'll start to find out what that is in approx 5 weeks at Silverstone!

Bugha-Bugha-Bugha the 1st one at Silverstone, the track that is 5 mins from where i live - i can't make it I'm importing my Fiancee back to the UK after her 2yr assignment in Denmark......hmmm, its a tough choice what with missing a few of these events last year - but there's something i miss more

So, this isn't a post of me on a roller coaster of emotions BUT a serious one..

..Is anyone thinking of filming the event, 1 static cam, 1 roving cam for the funnies, lots of editing of snippets??? Pictures are always great but a bit of MLRtube wouldn't go a miss IMO
Now there is a set of photogenic sponsors, every little bit of exposure helps????
