coilovers e9 onto e5 ,how?
hey guys ,I drive a e5 ,and i have a tein ss of e9 ,earlier I found one thread that said the coilover of ct9a could be onto a cp9a, as i known the just the front mount is diffirent, the rear is the same , I try my best to remember that maybe the hole size is diffirent ,the 7-8-9's is bigger,.
If here is someone could tell me the way ? and let me make the 9's tein SS onto my E5, :D thanks a lot~~ regards~~:smthumbup |
there is a company on here making a bracket to fit 789 onto 456 evo but i cant remember which company but if they see your post im sure they will let you know

GB Enterprises (Grant620) makes adaptor and bolt kit. no drilling of the hubs required straight fit. Excellent guy to deal with:smthumbup

someone please ~~~~ regards~ |
thanks all the one above ,
thank u guys~~ |
its the fronts that need a little work, rears are a straight fit
Fronts you can either get shims (like the ones made by Grant260 / GBEnterprises above) or you can drill the front hubs out from 12mm to 14mm, then use the 14mm bolts off a later evo, you will need to make up spacers to go either side of the hub this way, as the mounting point for later struts on the hub is a few mm wider Stu |

Could u give me more information ? Some pics about shims' Thx |
I drilled my hubs, used later bolts, and made spacers, the shims offered by GBEnterprises should be a lot simpler, you will have to contact them for more info

there's another question, rencently I have checked the Bilstein official web site, and I found that the suspension kit of Bilstein seems stop prodution for CP9A,please click here http://web1.carparts-cat.com/default...C018004&12=140 and what do u think betwin the D2 and G-Forcehttp://www.g-force-racing.co.uk/eng_index.asp, which one do u prefer if i cant find Bilstein! |
See here for info on shims. http://www.lancerregister.com/showth...=400122&page=2
I dont like the idea of drilling the hubs. If you do take them to an engineering place that can drill them 100% in line and to the exact size. PM Grant and I'm sure we will sell you a set of shims. :smthumbup |
