For sale, 1999 Rheims Blue Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR.

I bought this just before Christmas as I was missing my previous evo, I bought it as its condition was very good inside out and most importantly underneath.

Knowing how many of these are now rotting out I didn't want to buy anything that hadn't been looked after.

I bought the car off a company who were going to take it to castle combe and use it on corporate days and take some of their customers out in it.
They used it once up there and for the past 5-6 years its been sat up and dry stored in a barn - hence its general all round good condition.

I'm the 2nd UK owner. I don't have any service history with the car. I keep being asked about this but its a Japanese import and not many imports come with Japanese history as it either doesn't comes with the car or it gets lost or not handed over by the importers & unless you can speak Japanese you aren't going to understand any of it. Also as mentioned the car has done hardly any UK miles and has spent years in storage, meaning it hasn't been serviced or mot'd in that time so I don't have any paperwork. The condition of the car backs up the mileage and condition.

It drives very well, this is my 4th Evo so had plenty of experience in these cars. Its standard power wise and pulls very well indeed.

The interior is very clean, even the drivers bolster is intact with no wear at all, the rears are immaculate, very little wear - looks like they have never really been sat in.

Paintwork is in good condition, no fading to the paint, not even many front stonechips on the front end. Few light marks here and there especially on front lower splitter but nothing overly bad. Also the boot shut - where the rubber stops touch the body it has a few light rust patches where water must of got trapped. The front passenger wing right down by the sideskirt has a small 5pence sized bit of paint missing. This is a used car so not perfect but overall the car is very very tidy!

Underneath of the car is in good condition, when I bought the car I was able to get it up on a ramp and spend some time poking around underneath checking its condition. Its very clean no rust issues that I could see and it was undersealed when it arrived in the uk.

Selling due to not having time to use it (exact same reason I sold my last evo) new house which I'm busy decorating, just had another baby which takes most of my spare time up, plus we need to replace our family car. Just think its a waste sitting there doing nothing 95% of the time.

I keep getting asked when the cambelt was last changed, I have no service history so I don't know. I was told it has been changed on arrival in the uk. I have had it inspected when I had the ayc fluid changed and was told it looked in good condition, no cracks and doesn't look perished at all.

Mileage: 64050
Owners: 2
MOT: Nov 2013
Tax: 5 Months

I changed the oil and oil filter last month with Silkolene Pro S and Genuine Oil Filter.
Just had the AYC Fluid changed.

The car is pretty much standard but does have a few nice added extras.

Speedline 18" Wheels with Toyo Tyres
Performance Friction 2 piece front brake discs (These look very new)
Performance Friction brake pads fitted front and rear
Goodridge Braided brake hoses
Full stainless steel exhaust system turbo back
Large Stainless air filter
Manual Boost controller (boost set to 1.1 bar)

sold!!

On the underbody photo it looks like rust on the chassis just behind the front wheels, this is mud off the roads and definately not surface rust! Chassis is rust free!!

Thanks Rob, yeah photos of this colour never come out very well and its such a different blue when you look directly at the car.

Just took it out the garage for a quick half hour drive, must say out of the 4 evos I've owned this engine feels so nice and tight, pulls real hard for the low standard boost its running.

Lovely car to drive - someone will be getting a great evo vi!! :smthumbup

Still for sale.

Took the car out for a nice spirited drive with some mates last night, car drives perfectly, really is nice to drive and no problems what so ever.
If I didn't need a new family car I'd be keeping this as it really is in great condition and alot of fun on the road. :smthumbup

Thanks mate. Yeah I'm quite shocked nobody has been in touch either, I know evo's aren't the quickest sellers as they are in a bit more of a specialist market but I've not had anybody phone, text or even email me with proper interest just a couple of people that are still waiting to sell their own cars first.

Well I'm about 10mins from the motorways so easy enough to find, let me know if you do want to arrange a viewing and I will give her another clean ready for you to take a look.

Thanks for the interest.
