I did my first track day at croft yesterday in a track prepared r32 gtr skyline - running around 390 bhp .

I am absolutly addicted now!! :D

I am now going to build a car especially for the track for my self.

So what i am trying to find out is - will an evo 6/7 be a faster car round the track than a r32 ... Unfortunatly i only had one evo to compare it to on our track day but he was a **** driver and his car we standard .

So does anyone know which would make the best track weapon??

please dont be bi-est

without a doubt id say a highly powered evo is the ultimate track weapon mate, but like u said, starting with a 9gt base is a costly experience!! but if you buy a cheapish 6 you would need either an rs or an rs diff conversion if your going for bigger power! so either way, its not a cheap experience mate

Having owned both an Evo and currently own a Skyline, I would have to say that the Evo would easily outhandle the Skyline round a tight twisty track. A track with long fast sweeping bends would be a compeletely different ball game and the Skyline would have the advantage. I've attended quite a few track days and from what i've seen the Evo is generally a quicker car around a track.

I didnt forget! :D

I have decided , its going to be a evo 5 or 6 rs with good brakes, suspension -right tyres etc etc running autronics of course!

Me made my mind up ,even though i loved the track r32 i was in !

I will only buy one if it is fresh in from japan , before you all jump in saying ive got one for sale! ;)
