ELIGIBILITY:
ENTRY FEES:
BOOKINGS:
Places can be booked at all rounds (except the final at Silverstone) from 18:00 on Wednesday 7th January through the MLR Shop or by calling the MLR on 0845 12 526237
Reserve places can be booked by paying a non-refundable £50 per event through the MLR Shop or by calling the MLR on 0845 12 526237. The balance must be paid within 30 days of the event.
Note: If a round provisionally fills with reserve places this does not necessarily mean the event is full. In this instance a non-reserved list of drivers will be created and any places that become available (within 30 days of each round) will be offered to these non-reserved list in the order they're recorded. Please be aware of the cancellation policy
EVENT PROGRAMME:
The programme of each MLRSS event will follow the basic format and timings as shown below. Any changes to these for individual events will be made public beforehand via the MLR Forum
RUNNING ORDER:
Although all cars will run in number order, the numbers will be allocated randomly and not by class for 2009. It will be each driver's responsibility to ensure they are in the correct place in the running order. If you are not in the correct place that run will be forfeited.
TIMED RUNS:
We intend all drivers will have a minimum of four practice runs prior to the competition starting. All runs will be recorded and displayed at the Registration area, but the practice runs will not count towards the official times for that event. The official timed runs will decide the finishing positions and scores for all competitors.
INCOMPLETE ROUND:
If a round of competitive runs is not completed by the entire field (due to accident, weather, etc), all times recorded from that round will be excluded from the results
SCORING:
All drivers will score points relative to their finishing position on the day which will be recorded on the MLRSS leader board. There will be no bonus points. These points will also be recorded on individual Class leader boards, so all competitors will also be competing separately against the other drivers in their own class as well.
MLRSS LEADER BOARD:
The MLRSS leader board will cumulatively add all competitors' points from each round throughout the year. The best four results from each competitor will count towards their overall final score. This will allow drivers to miss three rounds or discount their worst three results. In the event of a tie we'll look at the time difference between your times (best 4) and the driver immediately behind you and take an average of them. Whoever has the biggest difference, ie: is the quickest, will get the extra point(s)
TROPHIES:
Per Round: MLRSS trophies will be awarded to the winner of each class on the day
The Series: The overall MLRSS Champion, and 2nd & 3rd place runners up will be awarded trophies
COMPULSORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
It is compulsory for all occupants to wear a crash helmet which is properly fastened and have arms and legs covered - preferably by natural fibre clothing at each event. Helmets must conform to British Standards and should fit properly. Seat belts or safety harnesses must be worn at all times when on the circuit.
ADVISORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
We strongly advise the wearing of a 2 layer Proban or Nomex race suit. Fire extinguishers must be securely mounted
PASSENGERS:
Passengers are allowed in the front seat of the car only and must meet the compulsory safety equipment regulations as shown above.
VIDEO CAMERAS:
Video or bullet cameras are allowed but must be securely mounted to the car using the proper mounts.
Note: Silverstone (and possibly other venues in 2009 TBC) do not allow cameras to be mounted internally on suction mounts but require all cameras to be bolted to a rollcage.
CAR INSURANCE:
Unless you have taken steps to insure your Evo for the MLR Sprints Series it's unlikely it will be insured, so please check your policy to see if cover extends to this type of event.
